The oral cavity is particularly susceptible to viral infections because of its conformation, soft tissue and salivary glands. Several viruses, including herpes simplex virus (HSV) human papillomavirus (HPV), are associated with disease-causing primary lesions. Prions smaller than viruses can only be seen through an electron microscope when they have aggregated formed a cluster. also unique in that do not contain nucleic acid, unlike bacteria, fungi, other pathogens. aim this systematic review understand the association between lesions about prions.
